Lives and works in Paris, France
Bruno Moinard is a contemporary impressionist painter, based in Paris. Characterized by the union of chromatic and monochromatic pallets, his abstract watercolour collages construct a solidity of compositions. Fragmentary collages of torn painted drawings merge various silhouettes and landscapes from his travels around the world, creating new spaces. In re-working his paintings, Moinard’s artwork evokes abstract reconstruction, like memory, colliding various temporalities.
Bruno Moinard is a graduate of ENSAAMA (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art, Olivier de Serres). In addition to painting, Moinard is an internationally known architect, scenographer, designer, and draftsman. He first exhibited his pictorial artworks in 2017 in Paris, at Galerie Diane de Polignac, and has since been featured in numerous solo exhibitions across Europe.
